Fayose Endorses Prof Eleka for Ekiti South Senatorial Seat

Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose has declared his support for former Deputy Governor of the State and People's Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in the 2018 election, Prof Kolapo Kolade-Eleka for the Ekiti South Senatorial seat.

Fayose, who made this declaration during a town hall meeting with PDP stakeholders in Ise/Orun Local Government today, said his endorsement of Prof Olusola-Eleka will however not prevent other members of the party from contesting the primary election.

He said "The endorsement of Eleka is in the interest of to the PDP and it will not shut the door against anyone.

"It is our position that Ikere Ekiti, being the second largest town in the State, cannot be left bare in the scheme of things.

"Therefore, Senator Biodun Olujimi, the present occupier of the seat should see this decision beyond the personal ambition of any individual. More so that she has benefitted immensely from the party by going to the House of Representatives and Senate for two terms."

Bisi Kolawole Policy Plans

How possible is Otunba Bisi Kolawole’s Manifesto?

Our agendas are practicable solutions designed to create life changing opportunities for every citizens within the borders of Ekiti State. Our agendas provide answers to the current economic realities. It is about the people and for the people.

This manifesto simply turns the word “impossible” to a phrase - I’m Possible.

Just vote PDP come June 18th.

The Manifesto, is it peoples focused?

Our main focus is to improve the standard of living and quality of life of an average Ekiti person.
The success of our administration will be measured by the number of Ekiti people we have moved across the threshold of poverty.

Our manifesto takes cognizant of the prosperity of our people from Bottom to the Top.

Rural Urban Migration

Our government will adopt measures to provide economic as well as social well-being, skill training and development of manpower, infrastructure at the rural level, and enhance micro-financing for self-employment.

Bridging the rural-urban crest by FACILITIES and SERVICES with stimulating local economic development while focusing on reduction in poverty and unemployment in the rural areas will be one of our priorities.

Attracting tourism and agro-allied investors with provisions of adequate security will enhance more than stable rural as We are confident our migrated families will return to enjoy the social, economic, and security advantages.

As the discourse on Nigeria’s Internal Security continues to take the front burner, Nigeria is daily threatened by many factors that have not been properly managed. We cannot but narrow these factors to our day-to-day occurrences in our dear state.

In Ekiti State today, we are confronted by a lot of security issues that have continued unabated; endangering our safety as citizens. In as much as it is the responsibility of our Govt to protect citizens, it is quite unfortunate that such responsibility has been abdicated and the hapless citizens have left to protect themselves which should not be so.

PDP, if given the opportunity to govern the state once again, has prepared a security architecture that will holistically address the issues of insecurity in our state. The present anti-grazing laws should be effectively implemented without infringing the fundamental human rights of both citizens and visitors.

Without property security of our state, it will be difficult to attract investors and since the core focus of our administration is industrialization, be rest assured of our commitment to ensuring absolute security for all of us.

Vote for me and I won’t disappoint you.

Environmental Maintenance

Environmental maintenance, development, and conservation of our natural resources to support our indigenous health and wellbeing will be one of our priorities as governor.

We will conserve and use the result to develop alternative sources of power while reducing pollution and harm to our environment and encouraging the recycling of the waste into wealth.

We have the land, air, water, and other biodiversity required to achieve these in time.

We will assemble consultants to transform Ekiti into a more comfortable territory and the Country will reference us better.

I Will Strengthen Amotekun Security Network, vigilante in conjunction with our local hunters to carry out peaceful security architecture of ekiti state

Health for all can be a reality in Ekiti: individuals and communities should have access to high-quality healthcare services without financial hardship.

Our Universal health coverage will be based on a strong, people-centered primary healthcare system. This will ensure that citizens have access to quality healthcare services they need, when and where they need them.

Women Youth Sports

Women, Youth, and Sports oriented empowerment is a panacea for self-reliance, self-employed, and employers of labour that will make them responsible citizens of Ekiti.

My government will prioritize skills acquisition in form of technical and technological knowledge which will add knowledge to the lives of our beneficiaries.

Vote PDP.
Vote Bisi Kolawole.

Our women and youths will be encouraged in agriculture practice with financial support, provision of grains and temporary farm settlement.

My government is already making this development an intervention policy. Our economy will be grown from the bottom to the top and hardship will be thrown out of Ekiti.

Kolawole assures Ekiti teachers of increment in year-of-service to 40 years, retirement age to 65

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Ekiti State, Hon Bisi Kolawole has assured that year of service of public school teachers in the State will be increased to forty years or sixty five years as retirement age.

These were part of the requests contained in a document signed by the PDP candidate with the Ekiti State Chapter of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) during an interactive session with executives of the union the Teacher's House, Ado Ekiti on Friday.

The interactive session, which had former Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose in attendance saw the former two term governor go memory lane on how his administration, in no small measure benefitted the teachers.

Fayose thanked the teachers for always standing by him in and out of government, saying; "I thank you for your support during the 2018 election. You and I know that we won that election, but we were rigged out by the powers that be. It is time to have back what they stole from us."

Fayose, who recalled how he established the Tutor-General's office during his first term attributed successes recorded by his administration in the education sector to the enabling environment he provided the teachers.

"The most important of all we do as people in power is to uphold the sanctity of life. Today, there is no life in terms of security in our state.

"Just recently, a Level 9 teacher on less than N60,000 salary after deduction was kidnapped. The kidnappers asked for N1 million ransom.

"I want to assure you that Otunba Bisi Kolawole will live up to his responsibility in terms of provision adequate security."

Fayose who described the PDP candidate as a man of immense experience, having served in the legislative and executive arms of government urged the teachers to support Bisi Kolawole wholeheartedly with the assurance that "Ekiti teachers will take their pride of place in his administration."

In his speech, the PDP candidate, Otunba Bisi Kolawole vowed to outperform Fayose, whom he described as his leader, in terms of taking care of the teachers' welfare if voted into power.

"I understudied Oshokomole for four years as a commissioner, I know what he does to motivate teachers, I will never depart from that track, I still have him as my coach, I am bound to perform better, I assure you.

"I will make car loans available, I will make housing loans available, I will reward hard work. Your salary is your right, you can take it for granted, you will get it as and when due. Vote for me, you will be glad you did," Kolawole said.
