Life History, Story, Full Biography Of Khairullah Khairkhwa

Khairkhwa was reportedly part of the official Taliban delegation that negotiated the final terms of the withdrawal of US troops. The discussions arguably paved the way for the Taliban to assume power once again after two decades. “I started jihad to remove foreign forces from my country and establish an Islamic government, and jihad will continue until we reach that goal through a political agreement,” Khairkhwa reportedly said at the summit.

Khairkhwa is the mastermind of the regime change in Kabul. He was released from Gitmo by the Obama administration despite the Pentagon classifying him as "too dangerous to release."

Despite showing no signs of remorse or rehabilitation inside Gitmo, Khairkhwa managed to convince the Biden administration earlier this year that the Taliban would not launch a spring military offensive if the president committed to withdrawing all remaining American troops. Furthermore, he promised not to retaliate against Afghans who worked with the US military or the US-backed government in Kabul. Reportedly, special envoy Khalilzad convinced the White House that the government under erstwhile President Ashraf Ghani would not collapse due to a potential Taliban takeover.

Khairullah Khairkhwa And Barack Obama

Khairullah Khairkhwa who is the mastermind behind the Taliban's takeover of Kabul was released from Guantanamo Bay under Barack Obama's presidency in 2014 despite resistance from the Pentagon, it has been revealed.

Khairullah Khairkhwa was one of five Taliban commanders released from the detention camp off the coast of Cuba by Obama in exchange for American soldier Bowe Bergdahl.

Khairkhwa has previously overseen beheadings and stonings while instated as the Taliban's interior minister.

He is believed to have had close ties with Osama Bin Laden and was arrested in Pakistan following 9/11 before being sent to Guantanamo in 2002.

But just 12 years later Obama released him and four others - Abdul Haq Wasiq, Norullah Noori, Mohammad Fazl and Mohammad Nabi Omari.

They were the only prisoners sent to Guantanamo for life that have ever been released without the parole board's clearance.

And the US soldier they were exchanged for has since been dishonourably discharged for desertion and misbehavior before the enemy.

When former President Donald Trump was in power he changed administration policy and made it much harder for Guantanamo prisoners to be released.

But since taking over in January this year, Biden has already released his first one - accused terrorist Abdul Latif Nasser.

Khairullah Khairkhwa Release

Khairkhwa and the other four members of the Taliban five were flown to Qatar and released on June 1, 2014. Simultaneously, U.S. soldier and deserter Bowe Bergdahl was released in eastern Afghanistan. Khairkhwa was required to spend the next year in Qatar, a condition of his and the other Taliban members, release.

In 2015, CNN reported that Khairkhwa had recommenced terrorist activity after his release in exchange for Bergdahl.
