Biography Wikipedia: Chamberlain Usoh (born 12 October 1970s) is a Nigerian Broadcaster, Journalist, Presenter, Producer and News Anchor at Channels Television. 

Chamberlain Usoh is popularly known as the lead Anchor and host of Channels Television's Sunrise Daily.

Chamberlain Usoh is a native of Mbieri in Mbaitoli LGA of Imo State, Nigeria. He is Igbo by tribe and a Christian by religion. He is married with children.

Chamberlain Usoh is a broadcast journalist, producer and news anchor at Channels Television, known for his insightful contributions on Sunrise Daily.

Chamberlain Usoh started working with Channels Television since 2006. 

He had earlier worked at the ITN News Channel 4 in London, the Liberation Chambers in Lagos, and other prestigious organisations, before joining Channels Television bringing with him his wealth of experience.


He describes himself as an easy going lad. When the award-winning journalist is not following and analyzing the news, he relaxes by playing squash, Tennis and is a football fan.

2021 DSS invitation incident



In August 2021, Channels TV was involved in a widely reported press freedom–related incident following the broadcast of two "anti-Buhari" interviews on Sunrise Daily. 

One interview featured Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom, who criticised the federal government's handling of insecurity, while the second featured retired Naval Commodore Kunle Olawunmi, who made allegations concerning the sponsorship of insurgency by high-ranking officials.

Following the broadcasts, the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) queried Channels Television.

Chamberlain Usoh and his co-anchor, Kayode Okikiolu were invited by the Department of State Services (DSS) for questioning in Abuja.

Initial reports suggested that the Chamberlain Usoh and Kayode Okikiolu were arrested, but subsequent statements clarified that they were invited for questioning and were later released.

Chamberlain Usoh is an award winning journalist, who has been named the NMMA TV Programme Presenter of the Year, winner of the NBA, Media Merit Award for Excellence in Sunrise Daily Presentation, as well as the S.E.S Male TV Personality of the Year 2011.

Chamberlain Usoh's health was in Nigeria. He was sick in January 2025. He took a 1-year break from his work at the Channels TV and traveled abroad to take care of his health and sickness. The hospital abroad was able to treat him and heal him of the disease.
