Sir, PETITION AGAINST MR STANLEY CHIBUEZE AJEMBA BETTER KNOWN AS STANLEY ON TOP FOR CONTINUOUS DEFAMATORY AND LIBELOUS STATEMENT

We are solicitors and legal representatives of MR. FREDERICK NNAEMEKA LEONARD, (hereinafter referred to as "OUR CLIENT") and on whose express instructions we write this petition. Our client is a very popular actor/producer and a household name in the Nigerian movie industry popularly known as Nollywood. Mr. Stanley Chibueze Ajemba, who is a self-styled, actors right activist, has persisted in the defamation of our client's reputation unprovoked for over 2 years. 

It is our brief that the said Mr. Stanley Chibueze Ajemba has made several unfounded allegations that seriously undermines our client's integrity to the point of causing our client serious loss of' earning if left unchecked and if he doesn't correct and takedown those negative impression, he has been feeding the public with. 

Consequent upon the foregoing acts of defamation of our client's character and the many libelous statements made against him at various times for no justifiable reasons whatsoever by the said Mr. Stanley Chibueze Ajemba,

These actions Constitute a violation of our client's right not to be slandered or libeled as enshrined in the Criminal Code Act (applicable in Southern Nigeria) secs 373-381 which defines as well as provides punishments for any such defamations. Section 39(1) of the 1999 constitution (as amended) grants onto the said Mr. Stanley Chibueze Ajemba power and freedom to express himself as he pleases but such freedom to express himself is limited by our client's rights to protection co (as of his reputation as enshrined in Section 45(1) of the 1999 constitution amended) Consequent on the above, we kindly request the Nigerian Police Force to intervene decisively by taking the following actions: 

1. Conduct an independent and thorough investigation into the allegations of libel and defamation of our client's character. 

2. Invite Mr. Stanley Chibueze Ajemba immediately for questioning regarding his actions/utterances in clear violation of our client's rights 

3. Get the said Mr. Stanley Chibueze Ajemba popularly known as Stanleyontop to within 7days to issue a written apology as well as retract and takedown all such previous defamatory/libelous publications targeting our client. In the event of non-compliance, we shall resort to every legal remedy available to our client. While anticipating your swift and professional intervention on this critical matter, please accept the assurances of our highest professional regards.
