I had an experience with a movie producer and marketer in my early days as a script writer.

I was introduced to him at his shop in Iweka road by a friend and I naively handed him my hand written script. He told me he would give it to a professional to look at it but it wasn't what he needed presently. 

 He asked me to go and write an epic story. Igodo was selling then and he wanted a story like Igodo.

I went home and went to work on his demand which I delivered days later after sleepless nights. He still told me he'll give to to a professional in Lagos to review.

Months later, my kid sister called my attention to a movie she was watching. She always read my scripts and knew my stories and the characters. She told me that the movie she had just watched was my script, word for word including the names of the characters. 

I watched the movie and wept. My name wasn't even there as the script writer. It was someone's name. 

I stormed his shop in Iweka and he wasn't there.

I kept searching for him for weeks till I met him one day near Nkpor in Onitsha and I grabbed his shirt sharp sharp.

As the big man he was, people came to his rescue. I told them what happened and they asked him if he knew me and he said yes but I should allow him park his car properly 

  The people asked that I let go of him so he can park well as I had pinned him to his car.

I let go and he entered his car and zoomed off.

We just stared at each other.

That day I cursed him.

Years later, I saw him in asaba, broke and no longer a producer. I hear he's a pastor in one small church now.
