Farida Sobowale popularly known as House of Phreedah attempted to commit suicide on 17th of August 2023 on Lagos bridge.
Farida Sobowale had stopped her car and alighted from her black-coloured Sport Utility Vehicle on the Third Mainland Bridge, and attempted to jump into the Lagos lagoon.
Farida Sobowale said she was depressed after her N100 million marriage with Demola Okulaja crashed just two months after the wedding.
Farida Sobowale House of Phreedah who will be 50 years-old next month September 2023, accused Ademola of body shaming her, always referring to her as someone with the body of an 80-year-old woman. For that reason, according to her, she took to undressing or dressing up outside his view, preferably in the bathroom. She claimed he refused to accept her the way she is and put her under undue pressure to go under the knife for a liposuction and Brazilian But..t Lift procedures to make her look more attractive for him.
Farida Sobowale also accused Demola Okulaja of suffering from erectile dysfunction which prompted them to go in search of a remedy for his issue, including going the traditional way by visiting herbalists. She also claimed that he cheats on her without shame or remorse and is emotionally attached to a a married woman called Yemisi Fasawe whose romantic love message she intercepted on his phone that burst the bubble. She also claimed that she found out that Demola Okulaja had nothing to his name and only reunited with her because of her wealth.
In his defence, Demola Okulaja claimed they attempted to go for In Vitro Fertilisation, IVF so she could bear a child, only for him to discover that Farida Sobowale House of Phreedah has no womb. He accused her of being a nymphomania who cheated on him with over 12 of his friends, a major reason he attempted to call off the wedding but was prevailed upon by well-wishers not to do so.
He also said that no sooner had they tied the knot than he began to experience excruciating headaches and after a series of comprehensive tests which turned up nothing, he was forced to go spiritual only to find out that his wife was fetish. This is what he said prompted him to move out of their matrimonial home. Ademola Okulaja denied ever cheating on House of Phreedah and only had one affair outside of his marriage after he moved out.
