Bianca Ojukwu's father, Christian Onoh, popularly known as CC Onoh, Okaa Ome 1 of Ngwo was a businessman and lawyer who became governor of the old Anambra State in 1983 at the end of the Nigerian Second Republic.

He was elected governor of Anambra State in October 1983 on the National Party of Nigeria (NPN) platform, defeating the incumbent Jim Nwobodo of the Nigerian Peoples Party (NPP). The election was marred by widespread intimidation, violence and vote-rigging. The election was disputed, but eventually decided in his favor in the supreme court. Three months after the election, on 31 December 1983, the military assumed control under General Muhammadu Buhari and Onoh, together with all the other civilian governors, was dismissed.

He continued to agitate for a separate state for his Wawa people, and this was eventually achieved when the military regime headed by General Ibrahim Babangida created Enugu state in 1991.

Bianca and Ojukwu Love Story: In 1989, it was revealed that Bianca Onoh was dating former Biafran president and Ikemba of Nnewi Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, a political associate of her father over thirty years her senior. Their controversial romance was a national talking point in the early 1990s, with Odumegwu-Ojukwu revealing immense pressure under the public eye had become increasingly unbearable, causing her to resign as Miss Intercontinental as her main concern was completing her education as a Law student. In 1994, having finally obtained her law degree, she married the former Biafran president in a lavish wedding ceremony held in Abuja.

Though Bianca and Ojukwu faced a lot of public ridicule, no force on earth was strong enough to tear the love birds apart. Their love story is proof that love can survive anything.

Odumegwu-Ojukwu appealed to her critics to allow Ikemba Odumegwu-Ojukwu to "rest in peace", describing him as a man of honour and integrity whose legacy should not be obscured by rancor over inheritance issues and stating that the will was drafted in 2005, registered and placed in the custody of the State Probate Registry with the legal witnesses and executors, who were present at the time it was prepared, still living.

Boyfriend: Who is Bianca Ojukwu's boyfriend? Bianca Ojukwu is a widow and is single now. But while she was still unmarried and schooling abroad, Femi Fani-Kayode FFk claimed he was Bianca Ojukwu nee Onoh's Boyfriend. FFK claimed he dated Bianca. A claim Bianca Ojukwu denied.

FFK and Bianca Ojukwu: Relationship, Dating - Did Femi Fani-Kayode (FFk) Date Bianca Ojukwu? Was Bianca Ojukwu Onoh FFK's Girlfriend? Was Femi Fani-Kayode FFk Boyfriend of Bianca Ojukwu?

Femi Fani-Kayode FFK & Bianca Ojukwu Story: In 2013, FFK in his controversial piece ‘A Word For Those Who Call Me A Tribalist’ claims that he had a “long-standing and intimate relationship” with Bianca Ojukwu while she was unmarried.

Femi Fani-Kayode later issued a statement withdrawing his earlier claims that he had an 'intimate relationship' with Bianca Onoh in the past but Bianca's lawyers said the retraction was not sufficient and satisfactory and have decided to go to court.

Femi Fani Kayode responded to Bianca's lawsuit threat, insisting that he didn't lie and threatened to reveal details of his 'relationship with her. Like Bianca, he has also issued a statement threatening to sue.

Read Mrs Ojukwu's statement below, issued via her personal assistant, and find FFK's response after the cut...

The attention of Her Excellency, Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu has been drawn to a statement purportedly issued by Chief Femi Fani-Kayode through one Mr Akinola Babatunde Rotimi and published in the Daily Sun and ThisDay Newspapers of September 6, 2013.

The phantom claim in the said statement that Chief Femi Fani-Kayode and Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu were once good friends to the knowledge of mutual friends who are still alive is not only false, baseless and typical, but a further attempt by Chief Femi Fani-Kayode to create the impression of a connection between himself and Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu.

“Whilst it is important to reiterate that Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu has never met Chief Femi Kayode and does not know him in person, it is pertinent to note that the statement issued through Mr Akinola Babatunde Rotimi, falls far short of an apology and retraction of Chief Femi Fani-Kayode’s false and libelous outbursts and is merely a desperate attempt to lend credence to fabrications, which he seeks to present as reality with intent to gloss over the very serious issues arising from the reckless publication.

“In the circumstances, Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu is left with no option than to leave the matter in the hands of her lawyers.”

Femi Fani Kayode's statement...
We read the comments of the P.A. to Mrs. Bianca Ojukwu in the Sun Newspaper of 9th September and in a number of other newspapers where she expressed the view that the withdrawal of the comments made about her by Chief Femi Fani-Kayode were ''not enough''. We really do wonder what Mrs. Ojukwu really wants from Chief Fani-Kayode and what her agenda really is?

Throughout this matter Chief Fani-Kayode has chosen the path of peace and has attempted to avoid an ugly and public quarrel with Bianca Ojukwu out of respect to the memory of her late father Chief C.C. Onoh and the memory of her late husband, Dim Emeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu . Consequently he has publiclly apologised to her and the two other igbo ladies that he mentioned in the said article (namely Miss Chioma Ansoh and Miss Adaobi Ucgegbu) on two separate occassions, in three separate national newspapers and online.

He has has also publically withdrawn the words that they found offensive, he has edited the said article, he has ensured that no newspaper in Nigeria that published it mentioned their names in the revised version, he has admitted that the word ''intimate'' that was used in the online version of the article was ''indiscreet'' and he has bent over backwards to tread the path of peace and to appease all those concerned. Despite all these efforts Bianca Ojukwu has refused to be appeased or to let go and she has continued to peddle the shameless lie that she has never met Chief Fani-Kayode.

This is sad and unfortunate and it is beyond the imagination of anyone that a serving Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria would so readily and so easily be given to telling such lies. Chief Fani-Kayode is not comfortable with publiclly joining issues with ladies when it comes to matters of a private nature such as this because he was well brought up and he is a gentleman but it is clear that Bianca Ojukwu is desperate to go to war over this issue and to cover up the truth about their past. It is also clear that she has constituted herself into the arrowhead of a group of people that are determined to use her and this whole unsavoury episode to attempt to distract attention from the wider and more important issues raised in the essay and to discredit him.

Since that is the case we welcome whatever action Ojukwu wishes to take in court and we shall gladly meet her there. We will also be instigating our own legal proceedings against her in due course for her barefaced and malicious lies and her consistent claim that she has never met Chief Fani-Kayode all in an attempt to libel, defame, diminish and discredit him before the entire world. We wish to state clearly and categorically that not only did Chief Fani-Kayode know her but he also knew her far better than she cares to publiclly admit. The precise nature of that relationship will be explored and exposed in open court. It is not in the nature of Chief Fani-Kayode to fight unnecessary and distractive battles over flippant matters such as this but on this occassion he has been compelled to do so simply because he will do whatever it takes to protect his integrity and establish the fact that he has told no lie.

Since she has continued her shameless perfidy and wishes to tread the path of deceit and confrontation then so be it. Finally let it be clearly understood that at no point did Chief Fani-Kayode lie about the nature of his relationship with Ojukwu. However he did not feel that it was appropiate or necessary to share the details of that relationship with the public because he felt that such matters were strictly private. The fact that she mistook his mature exercise of restraint and discretion, even when provoked and insulted, his desire for peace and his gentlemanly nature for weakness is not only unfortunate but also a grave miscalculation on her part. Once again we reiterate the fact that we counsel Ojukwu to take whatever course of action she pleases and we welcome this opportunity to expose her for what she is. The matter has been referred to our lawyers for final preparation. They will prepare a vigorous defence to Ojukwu's absurd allegations and they will also determine our next line of action against her''- Mr. Tosin Emmanuel, P.A. to Chief Femi Fani-Kayode

Memories...BIANCA ONOH WINS MISS DRUZHBA @  THE FIRST INTERNATIONAL BEAUTY PAGEANT  IN RUSSIA.
Bianca Ojukwu recalls how she won the Miss DRUZHBA international Pageant in 1989. The ex beauty queen wrote on her Facebook page.

"This was one of the five international beauty pageants I contested in as Nigeria’s National Beauty Queen.
It was the Soviet era, and this was the first international beauty pageant to take place in Russia just after the first ever official and government approved national beauty pageant - Miss USSR had taken place in the spring of 1988. This International pageant was called Miss Ocharovaniye in Russian, which means ‘Charm’.
It was the era of Gorbachev, Glasnost and Perestroika, and the year that changed everything in international politics; the year of the fall of the Berlin Wall, the beginning of the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the overthrow of Communist rule throughout Eastern Europe and the end of the Cold War.

The pageant took place at the Cosmos in Moscow and was attended by beauty queens from all over the world. I represented Nigeria, it was my first trip to Russia and Yes, it was cold!
It was almost like a national event was taking place in Moscow and Russians were glued to their TV screens. I won the MISS DRUZHBA title and made some nice friends, including Miss Singapore who was later to invite me on an unforgettable ‘Royal Visit’ to Singapore, Miss Israel and Miss Turkey, who clinched the Diadem, and the hilarious Miss Greece. Marvelous Experience!
# Memorable Moments."

Interview: Bianca Ojukwu's Interview By Daily Post In 2011 About Ojukwu's Other Wives - Ex Wives, Her Co-Wives And Her Step Children

How do you relate with his other grown up children, and perhaps the other living wives? Asked Daily Post

(Laughs) I like the way you put, living wives. The fact is that at the time I met him he was a bachelor. He was not living or married to anybody at that time and that’s probably why we were able to go through a Roman Catholic wedding. We had our wedding in a Roman catholic church and that would have been impossible if he were designated a married man. Otherwise he would have been a bigamist. I am just making the point that I met him as a bachelor. Of course he had been in a lot of other relationships but I have not had the opportunity of interacting with those people that he had had relationships with in the past.

What about his children?

Oh yes. You know he has three children that are older than I am. We get on quite well. Most of the children don’t live here. They live abroad. My marriage to their father is not anything new because they live in societies where such things are not abnormal as such. They know their limits.

We hold family meetings and things like that. Some times issues come up that we don’t all agree upon. At such times Ikemba steps in and sorts things out. That’s normal but generally we get on well. So far it’s been quite cordial and when they come on vacation they stay here and I am glad to tell you that they all have their rooms here. I have tried to make sure that we are one united family.

What I deduce from the foregoing is that you are Ojukwu’s only legitimate wife.

That’s correct. If there is anybody else who can present a wedding picture, a marriage certificate in the church then I am willing to defer to that person. However, we live in Africa and the church format is not the only acceptable mode. There is the traditional mode. In my own case I did not start with the traditional marriage because my parents were initially opposed to the marriage. I only went through the traditional marriage after the birth of my children. My children were present at the event. Any woman who has been married in the traditional mode is also an acceptable wife. The only time both modes come into conflict is when there is a legal contention. That’s why I am making it clear that he went through both processes with me.

You mean you are not aware of any other women who went through those processes with him.

I am not aware of anybody that went through a church wedding with him. You know the Roman Catholic Church is very strict in that respect. If they had any such information they would not have done the wedding. No Catholic priest would wed you if he considers you a bigamist. They wed you strictly on the basis that you are a single man.

Remarry, Remarries, Remarriage: Has Bianca Ojukwu remarried? No, Bianca Ojukwu has not remarried.

Why I won’t remarry — Bianca Ojukwu Tells Vanguard in a 2014 Interview

Given that you are still very young, beautiful and as the famed American poet-Robert Frost said, you still have a long road to travel. Do you plan to remarry? Vanguard asked

"People marry I think not just because they need to come together, live Together, raise family together, it is a rite of passage and I think I have fulfilled my part. Why I said that, is, I have gone through marriage, lived with what I consider a wonderful man who gave me 23 years of happiness, of fulfillment, I literally felt I was the luckiest woman to have had a man who gave me utter dedication and, above all, wonderful children. So my pledge to him is that I will devote my life to taking care of our children, raising them properly, teaching them those ideals that he cherished and held very dear and trying to carry on his legacy. So I don’t have any compelling need to remarry and, in any case, my time is very limited; so I am trying to channel it properly towards raising my children." Bianca replied

Bianca Ojukwu Evades Question On Plans For Remarriage (January 2019 Interview)

Bianca Ojukwu, wife of late Biafra leader Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, tactically evaded a question posed to her during a January 2019 interview on plans to remarry eight years after her husband’s death.

Bianca, who is Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations World Tourism Organization, dodged the question during the interview aired on Channels TV programme, ‘THE CHAT’ on Wednesday.

The show was anchored by veteran radio personality, Mani Onumonu, who asked if she would like to remarry.

But instead of giving a direct answer, the former beauty queen launched into the history of how her late husband changed her life.

“I’ve always said am one of those women lucky enough who have been married to a man who gave me many years of happiness and fulfillments and of course most importantly exceptional children,” she said, and went on to talk about her children.

The anchor, however, did not insist on a definite answer.

Bianca Ojukwu Vs Ebelechukwu Obiano

Why I Gave Drunk Mrs Obiano A Dirty Slap - Bianca Ojukwu Speaks

Bianca Ojukwu has given a reason why she gave the immediate past first lady of Anambra state, Ebele Obiano, a dirty slap.

Bianca and Ebele made news on Thursday, March 17, when they had a scuffle during the inauguration of Charles Soludo as the new governor of Anambra state. In a viral video, Bianca gave Ebele a slap after the latter left her seat to insult her. Mrs. Obiano who was left ruffled after her scuffle with Bianca was also filmed on camera calling Bianca ''Ashawo''.

In an interview with Arise TV, Bianca who is the wife of late Odumegwu Ojukwu, said Ebele was noticeably absent as the inauguration ceremony started. Bianca said Ebele then arrived an hour later.

''I didn't pay any attention to her arrival. Surprisingly, she then walked towards me and I thought she was coming to greet me.

Instead she verbally attacked me with her voice raised, taunting me and asking me what I was there to do, using unprintable, vile language.

She asked if I had come to celebrate their last day in office but I ignored her completely. Then she kept on aggressively putting her hand on my shoulders and shouting.

While I ignored her verbal onslaught as advised by people sitting around me, I requested twice that she refrains from touching me with her hands.

She proceeded to do so yet again and tried to touch my head and remove my headtie. It was at this point I stood up to defend myself and gave her a dirty slap to stop her from attacking me.

As she made towards me, I den pulled away her wig, she then held on to her wig with her two hands and tried to take the wig away from me.

The former APGA chairman, Umeh, told her to leave me and told everyone to leave. I was stunned by the stench of whisky in her breath at such an early hour of the day.

How could the first lady be so drunk at that time? I stayed back to watch the ceremony till the end and left with my dignity intact''.
