"I’ve instructed various types of training over the years. While talking with one of my clients the other day I was trying to explain having a purpose when training.

For instance,

The majority of people usually take their first steps working out in a class setting that is usually focused on burning calories with low emphasis on tailoring the training to YOU and looking over form but nonetheless, these classes are great…..for burning calories.

If your goal is more so on forming shape to your body or hypertrophy to a certain group of muscles these approaches look a little different.

If I’m doing 30 squats, each squat is USUALLY done in a controlled manner to where I can LITERALLY feel my legs working, my form controlled, and my speed is at a certain tempo.
