For her secondary education, she attended Mayflower School, Ikenne, Ogun State, and from there, she went to Government College, Agege, Lagos. She also has a sister who was recently appointed as a judge in the Federal Capital Territory (Abuja). In all, about four of her siblings studied Law.

Career As A Judge: Justice Olusola Williams worked as a judge for 18 years before she retired before she turned 60 years.

When Justice Olusola Williams got married, her in-laws wanted her to run their company, so she worked there as the General Manager for some time. She then decided to go back for her Master’s degree. When she completed her Master’s, she still had the desire to be in an academic environment, so she went to work at the law school. Justice Olusola Williams taught in the Law School (Lagos) from 1992 to 1997.

During her National Youth Service (NYSC) in Jos, Justice Olusola Williams worked with a law firm. She also worked in Ayanlaja Adesanya & Company Law Firm when she returned to Lagos. After she got married, she worked with her in-law at United Investment for some years. Later, she  felt she had enjoyed academic practice, she wanted to go to the bench. Her passion to change things brought about the enthusiasm to go to the bench. Fortunately, the Lagos State Judiciary started their hunt for young minds that had a lot to contribute as opposed to before when older people were mostly told to go to the bench. That was when 26 of them were recruited. They were called the ‘millennial judges’. It had never happened before in the state.

Judging Matters: On What led to the television show, ‘Judging Matters’ with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu,
Justice Olusola Williams told The Punch,

"I have a passion for law and quick delivery of justice. And, I hate injustice. I believe that justice is not only for people who can afford it. I realised that there are a lot of people who don’t honour agreements. When this opportunity came, I was glad."

Is Judging Matters Real? Is the show real or scripted? Justice Olusola Williams told Punch,

"They are real cases. Reality shows don’t require acting, one just goes along with what one finds. I don’t know about the cases before they are brought up to me and I don’t plan what to say on camera. As soon as I get on the bench, I would start asking questions. I only get a summary of the case. Everything the audience sees is real; nothing is planned. Someone sent me a text message that he likes the role I play and I replied that there was no role. Ebuka doesn’t have a script and neither do I."

Family, Husband: Who is Justice Olusola Williams husband? Justice Olusola Williams is married to Mr Williams, who is also lawyer, a legal practitioner too.

On How Justice Olusola Williams met her husband and How long courted before they got married,

Justice Olusola Williams and her husband met in 1987 and got married in 1989.

"I was posted to Ekiti (then in Ondo State) for NYSC but I didn’t want to go there. My father wasn’t ready to help me work it out so I boldly went to the NYSC office and asked to see the director or the officer in charge. Then, I explained to him that the essence of NYSC is for Nigerian graduates to visit other regions of the country and bond. I told him that I had been in the South-West all my life and they still posted me to Ondo State. They immediately told me to write a letter and gave me the option of Kano State or Plateau State. I chose Jos (Plateau) because I wanted to enjoy the cold weather there. When I got to Plateau, the supervisor asked me why I was reposted and when I told him, he was impressed and started using me as an example for people that wanted to redeploy out of Plateau. When I got back to Lagos, I went to the Federal High Court with my boss and he couldn’t give me a ride back to our office at the Ilupeju area of the state, so he took me to the High Court in Igbosere, Lagos Island. There, I met a friend I had been in law school with. He was working at Ilupeju too, so I asked him for a ride. He said he wasn’t going to Ilupeju at that time but that he could get me a ride with someone else. He said his friend was going back to Ilupeju and that was how I met the guy who eventually became my husband." She recalls.

Children, Daughters: Justice Olusola Williams has two biological daughters, no son. She has several mentees and an adopted child. One of Justice Olusola Williams' daughters studied law but she is not interested (in practising). After reading Law, she went on to get a Master’s degree in Luxury Retail Management.

No Son: On any pressure from Justice Olusola Williams in-laws for not having a male child, she said,
"I am never under pressure. I build a wall around myself and I don’t give room for toxicity. Fortunately, the family I married into does not see it as a big deal. Usually, when a woman is desperate to have a son, it is either her husband or her in-laws are putting her under pressure. The pressure my mother-in-law gave me was for me to have another child. After I had my second child, she didn’t ask me to have a third one because it took about four and a half years to have the second child. I deliberately spaced my children."

House, Cars: Justice Olusola Williams lives in Lagos and drives nice cars.

Justice Olusola Williams, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu And Judging Matters

Media Personality, Ebuka-Obi Uchendu has started his Courtroom Reality Show, Judging Matters.

While Ebuka acts as the Councillor on the show, Judging Maters, the retired Lagos State Judge, Justice Olusola Williams has the final say on the show as the Judge.

The Judge was in charge of the famous case of fraud instituted against Chairman of Innoson Motors, Innocent Chukwuma by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC). The former Lagos High Court Judge in her judgement struck out the case due to the inability of the prosecution to produce him in court for arraignment. You need not ask if that was the end of the case.

In another case, Justice Olusola Williams revoked the bail granted a banker, Chester Ukandu who became a customer of the courtroom because of a three-count charge of forgery and impersonation.

After the former Managing Director of the Mainstreet Bank Registrars was said to have breached the express conditions of the bail granted him, Justice Williams saw his actions capable of jeopardising the course of justice, so she did the needful.

Another person who has visited Justice Williams while she sits on the Bench is Olumuyiwa Williams, a businessman wallowing in an N165 million fraud accusation.

Though Olumuyiwa was granted bail, but Justice Williams sent him to prison custody until his bail conditions were met.

Justice Olusola Williams who was called to the Bench on May 22, 2020, sat on several cases and gave judgements on a lot of cases before her retirement, but with the way things are going right now, the retired Judge is not tired just yet.
