Melvin Orji is a Nigerian model, Nollywood actor, filmmaker, producer, an entrepreneur and the founder of Talkative Afrika Media, a global video production company who is already making waves in the Nigerian entertainment sector. Born in June 13, 1989, Melvin Orji is a graduate of Industrial Chemistry from Abia State University . He holds MBA from University of South Wales UK.

"I am an upcoming artist and entrepreneur with interests in modeling, acting, videography and film production. In relation to my modeling career, I have had the privilege of working with different corporate brands across Africa including the likes of Guiness Beer, Heritage bank, MTN (Telecommunications), Konga E-commerce platform, Hero Beer, etc. and have been honored with numerous awards in the last 5years.

In 2016, in other to hone my creative skills, I decided to study film and television production in Cape Town, South Africa. I founded Talkative Afrika Entertainment (“Talkative Afrika”), a video production company which specializes in creating professional digital content for advertising agencies, cooperate businesses and creative focused organizations; tv commercials; films and music videos. We have handled a number of productions in and outside Nigeria. Our work portfolio amongst others includes Beard & Butter Tv commercial; Orhue Fashion Lifestyle Commercial, The body shop Nigeria online commercial, produced two short films titled ’The Touch’ and ‘Unexpected’ and we are currently working on our fist web series titled, ‘Taxi Chronicles’. I have also been opportune to have worked on 3 major cinema movies as an Assistant Director titled Merry Men 2, Bad Comments and Unroyal.


The Talkative Afrika team comprises of 7 individuals and we are also currently involved in empowering young entrepreneurs by giving them the opportunity and platform to showcase their creativity through cinematography, modeling, acting, etc.

I am currently in the process of obtaining an MBA from the university of South Wales to help guide me in today’s business world.
My interest in the entertainment industry and passion for being unique has brought my team and I this far. The entertainment sector in Nigeria is growing with leaps and bounds, however there still exists challenges of acceptability. However, at Talkative Afrika we have embraced the importance of being relentless in our quest for visibility and success, we are still growing our clientele and also understand the need to give back to the community by training and empowering youths with free practical lessons on film Production, videography, model grooming, acting, editing etc
