"I’ve always loved to be an actress ever since I was young. so I was fortunate to visit my friend whose house was beside the house late Ishola Durojaiye (Alasari) was filming this very day. The title of the movie was Iyawo Ojokan, which Stared Lizzy Anjorin. It was at that location that I met Tosin Fagbemi who later introduced me to my boss’ Yemi Jimoh (Yemkem). That was in 2008."

IFEDAYO RUFAI is a dynamic and rising Nollywood actor, and producer from the southwestern part of Nigeria. She also an entrepreneur, CEO of Luvyet Resources Empire.
She is a graduate of Ogun state college of Education. Her passion includes entertainment, humanitarian services, community building, and youth empowerment.
With over 12 years’ experience in the movie industry, Ifedayo has featured and produced several blockbusters Nollywood flicks like Ado Edan, Ahon mi, wages of sin, self-inflicted, Gabby, Awofele bonu, Igbehin loju, Folakemi packaging, Oga Aye, Folashayo and Fate and Desire.
She shares her journey and some of the challenges of being a Nollywood actress in this interview.
“My growing up experience opened me up to the challenges of life, womanhood etc, hence I grew up wanting to be a voice of the voiceless and add value to humanity any way I can.
“Producing is a craft I dabbled into because I want to use movies as a tool for building a better society by telling stories that matter, stories that address issues that plague our society.
“I’ve always wanted to be an actress while I was young. One day I went to see a friend of mine and I met late Ishola Durojaiye Alasari shooting a movie outside my friend’s house.
“So I grabbed the opportunity to get close to Mr Tosin Fagbemi who was also among the artists that I met at the location.
“I got in touch with him after the location and he introduced me to Mr Olayemi Jimoh who eventually trained me as a professional actress.
“Being an Actress & Entrepreneur has been a smooth sail…Acting gives me the face and voice to speak and be heard, the fame to champion humanitarian causes, Entrepreneurship gives me funds to counter fund my humanitarian projects, while soliciting for sponsors and partners.
“I am inspired by My love for my mum, my passion to save/serve humanity, Hatred from people.
Speaking on the perception that women sleep with producers to get roles, she said, “though there is still that erroneous perception that every female slept her way into the industry, a good percentage of the society is very receptive.
