Who is Gentle Jack?

Gentle Jack is a legendary Nollywood actor, director, producer, television personality, bodybuilder and a philanthropist. He was born on 11th of October 1970 in Abonnema in Kalabari kingdom of Rivers State in the south southern part of Nigeria. He is popularly known worldwide as Vuga. He hails from Abonnema in Kalabari kingdom of Rivers State, Nigeria.

He had his nursery education in Lagos State, Nigeria and his primary and secondary education in Port Harcourt, River State, Nigeria where he obtained both his First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate.

After completing his primary and secondary school education in Port Harcourt, River State, Nigeria, Gentle Jack got admission into Ogun State Polytechnic in Abeokuta and later quit his studies due to personal reason. After which he left for Hellymag fitness school where he studied Fitness and Nutrition and then became a body therapist.

In 1997, Gentle Jack joined the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) through the help of his brother Gbasemi Tariah, and acted in his first movie titled “Blood Money” alongside with Pete Edochie. In 1998, Gentle Jack rose to fame after starring in the Nollywood blockbuster movie “Vuga” alongside with Regina Askia, Segun Arinze. Since then he has featured in several Nollywood movies. He is often referred to as Nollywood’s Macho man because of his large muscle and body building structure.
